Spain has a large renting market, traditionally built on multi-year contracts for companies and the self-employed (autónomos). Over the past few years, 'coche por suscripción' has emerged as a shorter, more flexible version: a monthly fee covering insurance, maintenance, road tax and ITV inspections, with commitments from one month to a year.
