New Zealand's car subscription market is small. Earlier subscription services from used-car and rental companies have come and gone, and today the main dedicated option is EV subscription from Zilch, alongside long-term rentals from rental companies that serve the visitor market. Many drivers also use monthly car-share memberships for occasional trips rather than having a car full time.
