About Volvo Car Subscriptions UK
Volvo Car Subscriptions (originally marketed as Care by Volvo) is no longer available to new customers in the UK. Volvo's UK FAQ states that it is not approving any new subscription orders, and trade press reported in 2024 that Volvo was phasing out the UK service as part of a wider pull-back from subscriptions, with the programme also suspended in the United States and Europe. Volvo has not published a precise UK closure date on the page we checked, so treat it as closed and confirm details with Volvo.
While it operated, the monthly fee covered vehicle tax, MOT, scheduled maintenance, fair wear and tear under BVRLA guidelines, 24/7 Volvo Assistance and a courtesy car for approved workshop visits. Insurance sat outside the fee after seven days of drive-away cover. Customers chose an annual mileage, with excess miles charged at 20p each, and needed to give three months' notice to cancel. Subscription cars could not be bought at the end.
Existing subscribers should keep following their agreement: use the in-car assist button for breakdowns, report damage promptly, use Volvo authorised workshops for repairs, and contact the Volvo Customer Relations Centre with questions about returns or notice. Anyone looking for a new flexible Volvo should consider dealer leasing or another subscription provider.
