About Jaguar
Jaguar began in 1922 as the Swallow Sidecar Company, founded by William Lyons and William Walmsley in Blackpool, before moving to Coventry. The Jaguar name was first used in 1935, and the company became known for elegant, fast cars such as the XK120, the Le Mans-winning C-type and D-type, and the E-type of 1961. The leaping cat emblem became one of Britain's most recognised automotive symbols.
After periods under British Leyland and Ford, Jaguar became part of Jaguar Land Rover under Tata Motors in 2008. Its recent range included the XE, XF, F-Type, E-Pace, F-Pace and the electric I-Pace. Jaguar is now reinventing itself as an electric-only luxury brand. Production of its previous models ended by late 2025, and the first car of the new era, the Type 01 four-door GT, is due to reach customers in 2027. Until then, Jaguars are generally available only as used or pre-registered cars.
Jaguar on a car subscription
With no new Jaguars currently in production, subscription options are limited to existing stock or used cars, such as the F-Pace or electric I-Pace, which some providers still offer. These can be a way to enjoy a luxury car on a short contract. Check the age and mileage of the vehicle, the insurance excess on performance models, warranty cover and, for the I-Pace, the real-world range. New electric Jaguars are not expected on subscription until after the Type 01 launch.

Jaguar subscriptions: FAQs
Can I get a Jaguar on a car subscription in the UK?
Possibly, but choice is limited. Jaguar has paused new car production ahead of its relaunch, so any Jaguar on subscription is likely to be existing or used stock. Availability changes frequently.
Is there a new electric Jaguar?
Jaguar's first car of its new electric era is the Type 01, a four-door GT due to reach customers in 2027. Earlier, the I-Pace was Jaguar's electric SUV, and it may still be found on used or subscription terms.
Why are there no new Jaguars on sale?
Jaguar ended production of its previous petrol, diesel and hybrid models to prepare for its relaunch as an electric-only luxury brand. New models are due from 2027.
