About Flexed

Flexed is the flexible leasing and subscription brand of Autohorn Fleet Services, a York-based vehicle rental and leasing company. Its car subscription is a rolling plan billed every 28 days, with no long-term commitment and no notice period on the 28-day contract. Fixed agreements of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months are also available for drivers who prefer a set term.

The subscription fee covers the car, servicing, road tax, replacement tyres from normal wear, the manufacturer warranty and 24-hour breakdown assistance, plus a mileage allowance of 15,000 miles a year on a pro-rata basis. Fuel and insurance are extra, although fully comprehensive insurance can be added for the main driver and two others. There is no standard deposit, but a one-off admin fee applies to new contracts and a refundable security sum may be requested depending on the credit decision. Brands listed include Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.

Flexed suits personal and business drivers who want the freedom to swap or hand back a car at short notice. Cars can be collected in York or delivered across the UK, with delivery charged per mile. Prices are quote-based rather than published.

Flexed: frequently asked questions

How does the Flexed subscription term work?

The core subscription is a rolling 28-day agreement with no notice period, so you can return or swap after the first 28 days. Fixed terms of up to 12 months are also offered, but ending those early incurs a cancellation charge.

Is insurance included?

Not as standard. Fully comprehensive cover can be added as an optional extra on 28-day subscriptions, or you can use your own policy.

What mileage do I get?

Flexed's subscription page lists 15,000 miles per year, applied pro rata to the time you keep the car. Ask for the excess mileage rate on your chosen vehicle before signing.

Do I need good credit?

A credit check is run on all new leases, but Flexed says perfect credit is not essential and each case is assessed individually. You may be asked for a refundable security sum, and drivers must be at least 18 with a valid licence.

Can the car be delivered?

Yes, cars can be delivered anywhere in the UK for a per-mile charge from York, or collected from Autohorn in York. In-stock cars can often be ready within a few days.
